It's a real gift, I hope you continue to (carefully 😉) act on it. We all need to converse more, especially with passer-bys and lonely ones. Uplifting others in our immediate world and, like you, seeing them.
I still worry (after the fact, a few hours later) that I have taken a joke one step too far and reverted back to that man who people smile at and quietly move away from. I am still learning not to worry about it, what’s done is done. I just say what’s on my mind and in my heart and let others process it as they see fit. I know I don’t always fit in, or do ‘normal’ correctly, but at 67 I’m less concerned as I used to be about causing others’ discomfort.
